The organisation was initially set up comprising a small group of dedicated professionals with a shared vision: to exert a positive influence to enable change amongst youth in the local community.
Aims:
To provide an inspirational learning environment for children where they are able to recognise their potential in a structured yet flexible and friendly way. The continual under-achievement of our Muslim youth is unfortunately an issue that has long been recognised. Although there are many contributing factors to this, a significant one remains the lack of interaction between the youth and positive role models. By acting as these positive role models, we hope to instil confidence and thereafter EMPOWER these individuals into making informed choices for their own future.
We aspire for academic excellence as well as encouraging the development of good moral principles and character, in concordance with those of a Muslim.
Objectives:
» To provide various learning opportunities to enable the youth to maximise their potential and make informed choices about their future.
» To provide recreational and leisure activities for the youth.
» To positively influence the image of Muslim youth by promoting good citizenship and harmonious relations with other communities.
» To partake in health promotion by encouraging preventative measures including raising awareness about the consequences of risk-taking behaviours.
